제프 버클리 (Jeff Buckley)

1966년 11월 17일 미국 캘리포니아주 애너하임에서 태어난 가수, 작곡가 겸 기타리스트이다. 미국의 유명한 포크가수였던 팀 버클리가 그의 아버지였으나 그가 태어나기전 부모의 이혼으로 그는 아버지의 얼굴을 거의 보지 못했다고 한다. 5살때 부터 기타를 연주하기 시작하였으며 12살때 가수가 되기로 결심한 후, 1991년 그의 아버지인 팀 버클리의 추모 미사 때 공연을 가진 것으로 유명세를 타기 시작했다. 1994년 첫 음반인 Grace를 발매하였다.

1997년, 2집 앨범에 들어갈 곡을 녹음하기 위해 테네시 주의 멤피스에서 준비를 시작하였으나, 6월 4일 테네시 강에서 수영을 즐기던 중 익사로 짧은 생을 마감하였다.

주요 음반으로는 Grace, Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk 등이 있다.
